Difference between ICO’s readings and those taken by another measuring device
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ICO MEASUREMENTS AND MEASUREMENTS FROM ANOTHER DEVICE
It is possible that the measurements taken are different from those given by ICO.
This difference can be explained by :
- The variation of the measurements depending on the location, time and/or even the depth where they are taken.
- Two different technologies (connected probes) or strips that do not measure the same values.
Nevertheless, if you notice a difference with the measurements of your ICO here are some tips and information.
1. pH readings
If you are unsure of the pH measurements, perform the mineral water test and then review the test results here.
2. Chlorine
Did you know that there are three different types of chlorine? ICO only measures active chlorine in water disinfection. Discover advices of our chemistry expert:
3. TDS
ICO measures TDS, the total dissolved solids in water, while TAC and TH give partial measurements. All explanations in video:
