Measurements made by ICO : Operation
ICO performs measurements ONLY if in the water.
In normal operation, your ICO performs a complete measurement every hour. When the measurement is complete, ICO transfers it to the server thanks to the Wi-Fi connection (or Sigfox depending on the model) set during the installation.
The complete measurement includes :
- Battery level
- Level of wifi signal (or Sigfox)
Upon receipt, the server stores these measurements for further processing.
Processing of measurements by the server
Every hour, the temperature is returned by the server on the application. This is displayed on the application’s home page.
Every 4 hours, the server averages the last 4 temperature measurements and adds this average measurement to the temperature graph available on the application.
pH / ORP :
Every hour, ICO performs and transmits pH and ORP measurements to the server. These are so-called “raw” data (provided in mV)
The server stores these measurements and processes them every 4 hours. The average and processed measurements are then sent to the application to be displayed in available graphs.
Battery level / Wifi signal strengh
Every hour, ICO performs and transmits Wi-Fi Signal Strength and Battery Level measurements to the server.
The server stores these measurements and processes them every 4 hours. The average and processed measurements are then sent to the application which translates them into a graphical display (1 to 5 bars according to the average level transmitted by the server).
The specific operations
At the wireless network connection
If ICO is in the water
When the configuration to the wireless network is effective, ICO transmits to the application via Bluetooth the following measures :
- Battery level
- Signal Strengh
They are available immediately on the application.
Just after switching on your ICO
If after turned on your ICO, you put it in the water.
When you turn on your ICO, it makes many measurements (approximately every 10 minutes) during it’s first hour of operation.
Each measurement performed is transmitted to the server via the wireless network connection. These measures are taken into account in the analysis made by the server.
