How do I turn ICO on and off?

In this article, we will explain how to turn on and off ICO, the connected water analyser that allows you to monitor your water quality in real time. Whether you are a new user or just looking to refresh your memory, these simple steps will help you use your device effectively!

The procedure for switching on ICO Pool and ICO Spa varies according to the model of your unit. If you don't know which model your ICO is, you can check the information on the packaging for the name of your ICO. Otherwise, remove the top cover:

• Your ICO appliance has a button for turning ICO on and off. It's called ICO Pool or ICO Spa.
• Your ICO does not have a button to turn ICO on or off, it is an ICO Pool v2 or ICO Spa V2.

How to switch on your ICO device

Before switching on your ICO connected water analyzer, make sure your hands are clean and dry, so as not to dampen the inside of ICO. Next, take the opening tool supplied with ICO and open the top cover at the small notch.

Turn on ICO Pool and ICO Spa models

• On the white inner cover, press the start button for 5 seconds until the LED lights up and wait for the LED to stop flashing. The LED should flash green 3 times.
• ICO is now switched on, you can now follow the instructions given by the ICO smartphone application

Turn ON ICO Pool V2 or ICO Spa V2

• Connect the USB cable (supplied) to the USB port. Connect the cable to the power supply.
• When the LED flashes green three times, your ICO device is switched on.
• Remove the USB cable.

Then close ICO. When reassembling, align the notch in the cover with the keying pin on ICO to ensure a watertight seal.

Switching off ICO

ICO devices can be switched off from your ICO application, or directly on the device itself. Here are the detailed procedures.

Switch OFF your ICO Pool et ICO Spa models

• Open the top cover using the opening tool
• On the inner white cover, press the button for 5 to 6 seconds
• the LED lights up red for 1 second and then goes out, which means that your ICO is switched off. 

Switch OFF your ICO Pool V2 et ICO Spa V2

• Connect the USB cable (supplied) to the USB port. Connect the cable to the power supply.
• The LED flashes yellow to indicate that your device is charging.
• Remove the cable from the USB port in less than 5 seconds.
• The LED flashes red to indicate that your device is switched OFF

When you unplug the device after 5 seconds, ICO restarts and the LED flashes green 3 times. Repeat the above procedure to switch it off, respecting the connection time indicated.

Then replace the cover on your ICO and align the notch in the cover with the ICO keying lug. Do not allow ICO to come into contact with water if the cover is not properly closed. This will ensure that your device remains watertight.

Power off your ICO device (all ICOs models) from your ICO application

Open your ICO application and click on the remote control icon at bottom right. Then press the switch off button and confirm.
